The Forensic Archaeology, Anthropology, and Ecology Symposium 2017, is running for the first time, at University College London. It is dedicated solely to these three fields in the forensic Sciences. The symposium aims to rectify the limited networking opportunities available to those working in these areas, and provide a platform for students and researchers to present and discuss their current research.

The symposium is bringing together speakers from three main areas:

Forensic Archaeology: The application of archaeological principles and techniques for the location, recovery, and interpretation of forensic evidence

Forensic Anthropology: The analysis of human skeletal remains for the purposes of establishing identity, investigating suspicious deaths, and identifying victims of mass disasters

Forensic Ecology: Including research in botany, palynology (pollen), phycology (algae), pedology (soil) and others

The symposium will feature presentations of the latest research, panel Q&A sessions, and several Keynote speakers, who will be announced closer to the date. We will also incorporate several poster sessions, and opportunities to network. The FAAE2017 Symposium is expected to attract a large number of delegates including students, researchers, and practitioners. We hope you will join us at our inaugural event.
